| The historic port of Leith to the north side of Edinburgh has been transformed in recent years. Loft apartments, Michelin-starred chefs and specialist shops have all helped in the creation of today’s stylish waterfront setting. The Royal Yacht Britannia sits alongside the Ocean Terminal shopping centre with easy connections by regular buses night and day to the city centre. Mix with the local Leithers in traditional pubs or trendy bars set in converted bonded warehouses and even on board sailing boats. Hibernian, one of Edinburgh’s two football teams, plays at its home ground on Easter Road just off Leith Walk, a short distance from the hotel. |
